View circuit pageIn the magnificent department of Charente-Maritime, close to Périgord and Bordeaux, the Pôle Mécanique de Haute Saintonge has offered since 2009 a 'Jean-Pierre Beltoise'-certified site for road safety and mechanical leisure. Two circuits have been built there. The first, 1,150 m long, is dedicated to safety, eco-driving as well as leisure with exclusively electric karts. The second offers a 2,200-meter layout that follows the natural relief specific to southern Haute Saintonge (slightly hilly). Relatively wide (11 to 15 meters), the track consists of two 650-meter straights, several technical corners requiring supported braking and a long, rather fast double right-hander... with banking.
