About the circuit
View circuit pageInaugurated in 2010, the Fontenay le Comte circuit is located near the aerodrome of the same name in the Vendée department, equidistant from Nantes and Poitiers (1h15). It is ideally located just 500 meters from exit number 8 of the A83 motorway. The layout of the Fontenay le Comte circuit is quite varied with constant and progressive radius corners, a hairpin, successions of tight and open corners, a rather unique chicane and two straights including one of nearly 800 meters allowing speeds well over 250 km/h in a Radical! Due to its recent commissioning, emphasis has been placed on the active and passive safety of the circuit: no barriers or walls except for the low walls along the pits.
